I know you are leaving soon but I wanted to tell you about an island in the Atlantic between the U.S. and Europe that I spent several days on. It’s called the Azores and I was there vacationing when I was in the Air Force stationed in Germany. It’s a fueling stop for AF planes. It’s tiny, I think 10 miles X 11 miles, it’s inexpensive, it’s owned by the Portuguese and the locals are so friendly! Just thought I’d share in case you have the opportunity to get there on your way home.
